Marc Faber Expect wars with Russia and China over Commodities soon
by: adminTuesday, March 31st, 2009
Mar. 16 2009 Bet on exploration Companies in the mining sector that have strong backers, suggests Marc Faber, editor & publisher of The Gloom, Boom & Doom Report. He explains his investment rationale to CNBC's Martin Soong & Sri Jegarajah. …
Well, you get … Well, you get better returns on ETF if you know what you’re doing.
Holding “physical/tangible” gold is the most secure and high liquidity.
It all depends on your personal situation, if you have money to play around, invest in some ETF. If you are uncertain on the time-frame of your investment, buy physical gold.
You may be … You may be interested in knowing that Marc sits on the board of directors of a gold-exploration company, Ivanhoe Mines, which has financial backing from Rio Tinto.
This interview is … This interview is the first interview that I have heard in which Marc says that investing in gold through an ETF is “OK.” In all other interviews that I have heard, Marc has insisted that “physical gold” is the only good choice.
He doesn’t go back … He doesn’t go back and forth at all. He said that he wouldn’t have any equities, but keep cash. Also he’d keep a percentage of physical gold.
This channel is … This channel is BRILLIANT. However the title is utter BULLSHIT. Please stop doing yourself a diservice and have appropriate video titles.
He goes back and … He goes back and forth on stuff — I’ve been noticing that recently. Bull on Gold and Bull on Dollar … but ItalicBold made a good point when he replied to what I said
what do you mean … what do you mean broad? you want him to tell you one specific company that’s gonna shoot up in the next three months?
First off that’s illegal.
Second good investors buy a whole basket of companies in the industry at least few years before they boom.
I have been … I have been watching him for a long time. Its not that he is wishy washy, he has a lot of experience and is wise enough to see the pros and cons of different scenarios. Thus he usually offers a pretty broad perspective. You need to be able to differentiate his long term bullishness on something like gold from his short term views. Often viewers catch one off interviews and mistake his long term views for short term views. His short term views can change frequently with the economic environment.
Agree with you, … Agree with you, drusha1. Even though this “fan’s channel” does a good work in uploading clips from Dr. Faber’s interviews, he needs to take care with the titles. Sensationalism and be awfully misleading.
It’s true - I have … It’s true - I have pulled my investments out of mining exploration last year -
Marc is right
P.S.
I didn’t buy bonds of anykind or iol…yet - invested in gold, silver and actual agriculture stock
Marc Faber is a … Marc Faber is a great guy an all, but he’s freakin whishy washy like crazy! And oh did I meantion really broad as well? lol Again, I like the guy but if you look at his vidz, he’s pro Gold at one pt and then sometimes I’ve even heard him agree that cash is king (lol)
FOR EVERYONE who … FOR EVERYONE who FOLLOWS JIM ROGERS, PETER SCHIFF, MARC FABER and RON PAUL… I just always go to financialtruth0.blogspot . com because they post all the latest videos there! Thanks for uploading this vid anyway!!!
