What companies stand to benefit from greener energy and technology?

by: admin Saturday, March 7th, 2009

Given the incoming Obama administration's emphasis on greener energy solutions, what Companies out there are best positioned to gain from this shift? What American companies are currently leading the way in cleaner energy (solar, wind, ethanol, etc)?

All companies, not just energy producers, not just auto producers. Think of it this way: Anytime a company can operate more efficiently, and generate less waste in the process, it will prevent harm to the environment, will use less energy, and will benefit from reduced waste management costs.

All energy producing companies. There are actually hundreds of companies that are already going green. A company that I used to work for makes gear cutting machinery for the largest wind power company in Europe.

The automobile industry will be the biggest winners if they can produce a car that runs on hydrogen. Then we will be free of the high price of oil from the middle east. Our environment will be cleaner and healthier.
