Are you feeling the effects of the credit crunch yet?
The news really seems to scare me at the moment - its all doom and gloom, but I have been trying to watch what I am spending especially with christmas coming up. Have you lost your job with the credit crunch or worse, have you been asked to pay back money that you dont have?
Jay - maybe you should help out the banks then!

The same as when they tell us that taxes are being reduced…. I don’t notice at all. Yeah some food prices have went up but so has wages, I think it’s all a bit chicken little.

Not really. But then again I wasn’t one of the irresponsible jackasses that bought something they couldn’t afford. I work my ass off and pay my mortgage. Although the stock market is doing wonderful things to my 401K….

Not massively but I don’t need any credit (well until my current mortage product expires) so that’s not a worry.
Food, petrol, gas and electric have definitely noticeably gone up, probably an average of 30% in the last year or so between them and my annual payrise was only 4.5% so I can definitely feel a difference there, but it is relatively small. It’s just at the annoying stage.
The future and job security is more worrying though.

I haven’t really felt the effects because I live below my means and have control of my spending. Household bills are expensive yes, and is unavoidable, but I exercise discipline and resourcefulness where ever I can.
What annoys me is people who complain about having no money, yet these people (who I know well) constantly spend money on smoking, drinking, takeaway meals, Playstation games, DVDs, clothes and other luxuries/comforts.
If people would just live their lives wisely and be prepared for the worst the “credit crunch” wouldn’t be half as bad as it’s made out to be.
