Comment made on April 11th, 2009 at 9:14 amWahoo. It’s a start at reasserting our power from the federal government. If local currencies catch on, you can bet the government will wage a war against them with propaganda, misdirection, and maybe even guns.

Comment made on April 11th, 2009 at 9:14 amDuring the debates when Congressman Paul talked about ending the Federal Reserve System and the income tax. They asked what he would replace it with? He said among other things. “How about competing currencies?” and then they laughed and sneered. I wonder if they are kicking themselves in the now. Before you know it we will be using gold and silver to protect our purchasing power over fiat currency. If that turns out well, Congress may as well put a bullet in their heads. Revolution anyone?

Comment made on April 11th, 2009 at 9:14 amJust follow the guideline of the US Constitution.
Instead of exchanging it for US Fed Notes the exchange should be gold and silver coin. Makes it safe from the printing press. (Inflation). JFK was doing exactly that (United States of America Red Seal notes , hard currency) that’s why he was taken away from the patriots. The government can’t print gold and silver into oblivion like fiat money. So the individual is in total control of his wealth.

Jct: Best of all, when the local currency is pegged to the Time Standard of Money (how many dollars/hour child labor) Hours earned locally can be intertraded with other timebanks globally!
Comment made on April 13th, 2009 at 6:15 amIn 1999, I paid for 39/40 nights in Europe with an IOU for a night back in Canada worth 5 Hours.
U.N. Millennium Declaration UNILETS Resolution C6 to governments is for a time-based currency to restructure the global financial architecture.
Jct: Glad to see another politician supporting local community currencies. I lost 68 elections on going to interest-free money over the past 30 years. Maybe next time luckier?
