We are in this …
Comment made on April 30th, 2009 at 2:57 pmWe are in this recession because people did not know how to run there businesses went to the Fed Gov for free money (bale out) that they do not have to pay back. Then to do nothing more but to go back to the Fed Gov the next year to ask for more money because they ed away the money they was already given. But that money has to come from somewhere, hents the tax increase. We the people are paying for big businesses to stay in business and they never have to pay that money back.

Are you even …
Comment made on April 30th, 2009 at 2:57 pmAre you even American dude? Have you ever red the constitution? There is nothing in the constitution that give the federal government a role in the construction of school, roads, post office and police. That’s a role reserved to the STATES! You do not call the FBI when your house is burning dude! You call your local fire marshall. The federal income tax is a form of extortion! The US was founded as a constitutional REPUBLIC, not as an empire with hundred of military basis around the world!
The current …
Comment made on April 30th, 2009 at 2:57 pmThe current recession is nothing compared to the hyperinflationary great depression that is coming thanks to Obama, and Ron Paul is the only person in Washington trying to stop it. He deserves our support and I strongly suggest reading the articles and signing up for the free newsletter at: Inflation . us

Comment made on April 30th, 2009 at 2:57 pmThe republicans & democrats are MISrepresenting us.They all need to be thrown out.
Me, you, & everybody here have a simple solution. As powerful as your vote. Simply move all your deposits out of the big banks (out of Wells Fargo,Chase,BofA,etc) and put it into ANY one of your local community banks. This will have a tremendous effect & will empower the economy of your own community where you live. Get your friends & family to do the same. It will hit the root cause:current central bank system.

The country was …
Comment made on April 30th, 2009 at 2:57 pmThe country was founded as a federation which would have left us weak. One of the reasons the CSA lost the Civil War was because of the states were unable to emerge as a single unit as the USA had done. USA had a the federal government with power, the CSA did not and the CSA lost.

That’s a bit …
That’s a bit over-simplified and not entirely correct.
One of the major moves that the Union made that sealed the deal was the stoppage of Prisoner Exchange. From then on, it became a War of Attrition. The Northern factories would continue to churn out the weapons in mass while all the Southern boys were captured and held until the end of the War.
Running out of soldiers and guns… not much you can do to stop the loss. Oh, and let’s not forget the manpower advantage of the North’s blacks.

So simple yet …
Comment made on April 30th, 2009 at 2:57 pmSo simple yet revealing. Ron Paul supporters are truly clever. Maybe it is because anybody who loves liberty and freedom of choice can be a Ron Paul supporter. You can be a democrat, republican, libertarian, independent, or even an anarchist. A big tent with lots of ideas waiting to be expressed. However, if you believe in fractional reserve banking being a good thing you have got to be outside your mind.
As a representation …
As a representation of the economy youre quite right, this cartoon is simplistic. As a representation of the relationship between taxes and unemployment, however, the cartoon was pithy and accurate. In other words, at conveys a valid principle to the layman taxpayer.
Rather than address this point, you comment attacks a straw man. The video was never meant to explain economics per se and criticizing it on that basis is dishonest.
